Porirua Church
As the church of Christ, our aim is to know Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Our prayer is to bring the Porirua and surrounding communities closer to Him.

About Us
We are a small group of multi-ethnic, Bible-believing Christians who sincerely desire to follow the teachings of Scripture and to please God in our daily lives. We are a forgiven people, but we are not perfect. We still have struggles and temptations. We know, however, that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength (Phil. 4:13).
In a confused and divided world, we are striving to be the church that Jesus built in the First century AD (Mt. 16:18), to teach and to practice the truth of God's word (1 Tim. 4:16), to minister to those in need (Gal. 6:9-10), and to seek and to save the lost (Mt. 28:18-20). We have no head but Jesus Christ, no creed but the Scriptures, and no headquarters but Heaven.
We invite you to worship with us this Sunday. We meet at 4:00pm every Sunday at:
Mungavin Hall
27 Mungavin Ave
Porirua, New Zealand

Our PromiseChristianity would just be another "good works society" if it were not for salvation in Christ and the reverence and worship we show to Almighty God. When we assemble together, we glorify God with our hearts, minds, and actions. Because we respect Him, our priority is to please God in our worship, not ourselves. Therefore, to worship in "spirit and truth," as Christ describes, we always consult His word as to how to worship Him (John 4:23-24).
Though we are far from perfect, we strive to be perfected in Christ, as He transforms us. We are wholly devoted to the authority of Almighty God. Therefore, we put a strong emphasis on Bible authority. We promise to only teach, live, and worship in ways that are found in Scripture. If ever you see this to not be the case, please bring it to our attention with a spirit of humility.
We do not have all of the answers, but we invite any and all Bible questions. We would love to explore the Scriptures with you. |
